Pouya Eshtehardi’s debut feature ‘Untimely’ will be vying at the main competition section of the 23rd Arpa filmfest, which is due on November 12-22, 2020.
‘Untimely’ is about a young soldier, Hamin, who is doing his military service in a watchtower in the borderline of Iran and Pakistan. Hamin gets into a fight with his commander right before he asks for a day off to attend his sister’s wedding ceremony.
‘Untimely’ stars Iman Afshar, Shayan Afshar, Ayyoub Afshar, Mahsa Narouee, Ava Azarpira, and Mollabakhsh Raeesi.
Just recently, Eshtehardi’s flick has been nominated for the Best Film Award at the 27th Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany.
More highly prestigious awards grabbed by ‘Untimely’ also include the Excellence award at the 11th IndieFEST Film Awards, the best feature award from the 32nd Dallas VieoFest’s Alternative Fiction as well as the Best World Cinema Feature award at the 24th KC FilmFest International, all in the US.
The flick went on screen at the 11th One Country One Film Apchat-Issoire International Film Festival held in France on August 31-September 06, 2020.
In September 2020, ‘Untimely’ will also enter the competition programs of the Orlando International Film Festival (OIFF) in the US as well as the LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival in Italy.
